Zhu Meilin

Zhu Meilin is a cosplayer, costume designer, makeup artist and independent researcher. Hailing from Shenzhen, she studies History & Culture, while working on her cosplays and costume designing. In her own words, she doesn't do cosplays to seek attention, but because she truly enjoys this modern day pop-culture. 

Being a close friend to Ifaz, the founder and chief-editor of this magazine, she has put out an unique concept to the magazine team, based on photo-essay. Instead of using synchronized and organized photography for visual storytelling, her concept "cosplay-essay" will visualize the story using images of cosplayers in different costumes, locations and facial reactions to make it more realistic. While an ambitious concept, this magazine is currently considering to work on it. In her free time, she also loves traveling and enjoying cherry blossom.
