About Us
(An Official Publication of The Sea Drop Magazine)
Welcome to The Politika Qiang (The Policy Wall), an independent, academic and journalistic journal dedicated to providing rigorous analysis, fearless commentary, and sharp insights into the forces shaping our global landscape. Specializing in the critical intersections of international diplomacy, geopolitics, military, history, technology, policy, and systemic statecraft, we serve as the heavy political, policy-making and diplomatic analytical counterweight to our parent publication, The Sea Drop Magazine.
While the world is often analyzed through the lens of established institutions, The Politika Qiang believes that the most vital, unvarnished perspectives come from the ground up. We provide an intellectual ecosystem where not only seasoned experts, established diplomats and former military personnel, but also undergraduate scholars, enthusiastic students, and young researchers can freely present rigorous, data-driven pieces alongside expert analysis.
The foundation of Politika Qiang is built upon two profound historical legacies of youth empowerment and fearless expression:
When the founder and first president of Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk established Children’s Day in Turkey, a foundational ritual was born: nationwide, government officials and heads of state would symbolically vacate their seats, handing them over to child representatives for the day. This was more than a mere gesture; it was an active declaration that the youth are not passive observers, but the active "Politika yapıcılar"— the architects and policymakers of tomorrow. We believe that to build a better future, students and young people must be given the platform to critique, analyze, and engage with global policy and the international affairs today.
In the late 1970s China, the Xidan Democracy Wall (Mínzhǔ Qiáng/民主墙) emerged in Beijing as a powerful symbol of grassroots intellectual bravery. It was a physical space where ordinary citizens and students pasted their analyses on posters, expressed their political views fearlessly, and sought out raw, unfiltered global information. Even CPC (Communist Party of China) government endorsed it for a while after the Cultural Revolution. Similarly, Politika Qiang carries forward the spirit of the The Democracy Wall (Mínzhǔ Qiáng) in the digital age — acting as a secure, open, and courageous forum for structural and political critique, including brave analysis.
From "Politika Yapıcılar" and "Mínzhǔ Qiáng" , we simply took the words "Politika" and "Qiang" to name this journal. It captures the essence and message behind both these pivotal moments of history.
Bridging Theory and Policy: We focus on complex global developments, from advanced network infrastructure and cybersecurity policy to regional military dynamics, and translate them into accessible, actionable intellectual critique.
Empowering Student Scholars: Most of our readers are students who will one day inherit the global political apparatus. We aim to cultivate their analytical skills today so they can become more informed, empathetic, and effective policymakers tomorrow.
Uncompromising Peer Review: Run entirely by an editorial board of The Sea Drop Mag Team and university peers, we maintain a high standard of academic integrity, ensuring every publication is backed by rigorous research, structural clarity, and objective data.
Fearless Intellectual Exchange: We stand as a borderless digital wall, welcoming diverse, critical viewpoints that challenge mainstream geopolitical narratives and foster deep, analytical cross-policy dialogues.
